bigger nipples????

Flower is in season, and it is her third week of dripping (does this mean its her last week?) Im not particularly knowledgable on bitches in season, but her nipples have got bigger? is this normal? She has never been alone at any point outside the house so a dog hasnt got her. Also she seems very tetchy, and has started snapping at willow, is this just her hormones??

It depends on the dogs cycle some are 3 weeks but some are 4.
The nipples are normal,its her hormones she will settle as she comes out of the season, but be careful they can get quite nasty when they are in season.
I would keep her in until you can see she has gone down to be safe, i used to keep hol in for 28 days then if she was reducing down in size, 1 - 2 weeks lead walks round the street, before she was allowed back in general population.

Sounds normal, I call it SBS, Stroppy B!tch Syndrome!

I am a 10 year old English Setter and I was spayed about 10 months ago because I was having some mammary tumours removed.

A bitch's first season marks the change from puppy to adulthood and brings permanent physical changes - especially maturing of the vulva and nipples.

I personally suffered from PMT but other girls can get ratty during their season as well.

A word of caution, we girls are at our most fertile when we start to look as if our season is over - as the vulva subsides and the discharge reduces - so take care !!

Ruby's in her 3rd week and i was hoping her last, dont tell me we might have to go another week!!!!!
