Thanks all very much. Tarn is a super dog I love him to bits and to think I almost had him PTS just a couple weeks ago (long story) I didnt want to pull him about hand stripping him, its not necessary in this case. I think the oldies or poorly ones of all breeds do better clipped as its far less hassle for them and for us.

I never thought I could love terriers any more than I do, but he is a corker, esp with his new trim! Very dapper.... and as you say so much more practical for an oldie.
