Cloud

Cloud has only just arrived from Ireland and is recovering from having been shot he needs lots of TLC, here is what his foster mum said about him from first impressions.

Lovely little Cloud has arrived.

We picked up a trembling, skinny matted little chap right on the back of his journey from Ireland so the poor lad has probably been travelling for about 24 hours now. He slept most of the way home and the rest of the time he spent washing my hand!

We got home and put him down in the living room. He stood with his tail right between his legs making himself as small as he possibly could. We then let Cassie, Begley and Tess out of the kitchen to meet him and at that point aliens must have swooped down and swapped dogs. The scared little lad lit up like a light bulb and his tail came out wagging like crazy and he dragged me out in the garden with the other dogs. We then let Loki meet him and she was good as gold so we let Cloud come off his lead. He has been running round with his tail in the air and a huge grin on his face ever since! He has had a good explore, something to eat and attempted to play with and make love to all of the girls They are being very patient with his puppy exuberance (Sarah didn't say but I'm guessing he's only about 10 months ish) putting him in his place in a firm but fair manner. Apart from Loki who is being a little tart, flirty outrageously, waving her bottom in his face and then grumbling when he gets frisky

He is a bit hesitant about coming to us but is obviously a very nice natured and affectionate boy with a large playful streak so we'll have lots of fun gaining his trust I'm sure. He is very very thin and his coat is in an awful state. Once he's settled we'll give him a bath and a proper check over.

Anyway here are a few picks of him settling in

Clouds Official Story

Cloud is a Black & White lad who has come to Wiccaweys from Ireland. Cloud's story is a very sad one of neglect and cruelty.

Cloud was seen by the side of the road by a lady driving to work. She assumed he was dead as he was lying still. On her way back the collie was still there and this time she detected movement! She took Cloud to the vet and they kept him in - he was emaciated and had been shot!

He was at the vet for about 3 weeks being fed and cared for as well as having his wounds cleaned and attended to. The vet said they could do anything with him and he was so passive they he just let them. They didn't think he would live.

Despite the odds - Cloud survived!

Cloud arrived at Wiccaweys at the end of February, almost a month after being saved.
He is still incredibly thin, but his foster Mum and Dad are working on that.

Cloud is a dear little dog. He has a totally sweet and gentle nature. Despite all he has been through, he is still trusting of people. He really enjoyed his foster mum giving him a groom.
Cloud really enjoys the company of other dogs, and we think the ideal home for him would be with another doggy friend for games and company.

Cloud deserves his Silver Lining now......

Cloud is doing really well in his foster home, he has started venturing out on his walks and has even been saying a little hello to some strangers on his way past.

Cloud a few weeks on

Having a sneaky peek at the world

His first bath after settling in well and gaining some trust

Looking a very different boy to the one who arrived.

Cloud is much improved but still needs a very understanding home that will take the time to bring him on. Cloud has had offers but his prospective new owners need to understand that his improvement will take months and years rather than days and weeks.....however in return you get the most loving dog in the world. What more could you want.

Cloud is now known as Fin!!!

His foster family have failed as fosterers but have once again given a lovely dog a lovely home. This boy is not going anywhere and is no longer looking.
