My Auntie passed away last year, and was in a similar situation. It's heartbreaking isn't it. *hug*

She sounds such a very special lady.

I lost my Mum earlier this year and I agree with reading to her, I did this, at the end, when I wanted to be talking to her but she hadn't got the energy left to answer.

The last thing I read to her was the handy tips section from a magazine - we always used to laugh at them together and wonder how people found out that cleaning taps with dirty nappies made them shiny etc ..

Maybe you could find something similarly mundane but lighthearted that your Mum would have enjoyed
