And do you want me to start pulling out the news articles about other dog breeds? In fact that article alone mentions other dog breeds.

And nowhere will you find "And today in other news, millions of pit bull type dogs lived happily in their homes with no problem."

Right from the article: Laura Vallance, from Dog’s Trust said: “It’s not about the breed of dog because any breed is dangerous in the wrong hands.

Add up the people that Pit Bulls have killed, just have several cups of coffee handy. Because these are the stats. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatal_...ported_in_2015

And then divide that by the number of pit bulls in America and what do you get? A SUPER tiny percent.

That also relies on media reports of breed and that is notoriously unreliable.

No one is denying that some dogs attack (on that list are also Rottweilers, unknown mixes and dogs, Shepherds, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a Sharpei, Huskies). And each one is a terrible case, often involving dogs who are tied out or neglected in some way and children who don't know any better. Most media reports go for sensationalism so even if they don't know the breed, if it has short hair, it must be a pit bull mix or a pit bull. The media has never cared for accuracy, just what gets attention.

Might want to read this: http://stubbydog.org/2012/05/pit-bulls-by-the-numbers/ Some good information there on these reports and the media. Especially this: "It’s also important to note which types of dogs are listed as responsible for bites or fatalities changes over time, depending on which types of dogs are popular for negative functions, such as guarding, at that time."

From 2005 to 2015, pit bulls killed 232 Americans, about one citizen every 17 days. Again these were people who were killed, and for no reason except some mental patient chose to own a pit bull. 85 or so percent of all humans mauled to death by dogs were KILLED by pitbulls, so this is a great percent not a tiny one.

Tell us, how many people were killed last year by border collies?

Isn't this a sweet doggie face in the cage, if he gets out again perhaps he will kill another baby, will you adopt him? he needs a good home and will play nice with your border collie..........until he gets hungry http://blog.dogsbite.org/2016/04/201...san-diego.html

This is my last response you. Please take your idiotic pit bull hate somewhere else. It most certainly has nothing to do with this topic and it's really getting irritating.

You are getting the picture, if you owned a pit bull in the UK or Germany you would be a criminal.

The truth will still be there whether you want to read about it or not. I just wish that the USA would follow Germanys lead and ban all of these awful child killing dogs.

Nicky Ann, I honestly feel that your bile and hatred has no place on a site such as Dogsey. I for one will not read any more of your posts or respond to them in any way.
I am sure that some sort of programme should be sought by yourself to try and sort out the problems that so obviously beset you.
Hoping you get better soon, best wishes.
