Am so angry reading this It's time fireworks were banned from sale to the general public and only for organised events through councils/local authorites etc. The evil, mindless people who cause misery and suffering every year with them is beyond belief.

I adopted a young cat many years ago called Lucy ,she was found badly burnt with her aborted kittens ,she had been tied up and a firework tied to her tail ,she was very lucky to survive ,she had a badly scared tail with no fur and her under belly was badly burnt ,she also had a fractured pelvis and leg .This lttle cat lived until her 20s not pretty to look at but the most gentle affectionate cat I have ever known ,it beggers belief that any one can treat animals like this and to be honest I do not know what the answer is ,just so very sad .
