Black spots in the eyes - anybody know what they are ?

Skye has started to develop jet black spots in his eyes. No idea what they are but I wondered if anybody else had seen this kind of thing or knew what they might be ?

Tried taking some pics that would enable you to see. The biggest one is in 'his' left eye but there's smaller ones in his right one too.

Should have cropped them - you may need to 'click to enlarge'

Shaan has one Phil. It seemed to of developed when he had a bang to his head. Our vet didn't seem to be that bothered about it

That's identical isn't it, and in the same place too. I'm not overly concerned, just curious.

Those are tears in his iris. Its nothing to worry about. We have a clinic cat that has had them since he was a youngster. They have widened with age so that it looks like he has a really big pupil now.

Cheers. It's funny how I've only noticed them over the last few months.

Is there a reason why MR? My vet put it down to the bang that Shaan had and said that it might dissolve on it's own?
