By the sounds of it your virus software caught it for you so i don't think you have anything to worry about.

Try right-clicking on an empty part of the desktop and see if there is an item called screen orientation (or similar).

If it is an Intel chipset, try CTRL + ALT + Up/Down/Left or Right


As for NTL, they seem to go through phases around here. There were times in the past where it was flakey, but it has recently been quite stable. I don't care too much at the moment - I have currently bridged my ADSL UKOnline connection with my NTL one, so if the NTL one goes down, I can still access the net using broadband.

This means hold the CTRL and the ALT keys down and then press one of the following: up arrow, down arrow, left arrow or right arrow.
