A really successful browse

Today being my Day Centre day, I was in town with my power-chair, so I took myself for a little excursion to the CD/DVD shop, for a bit of a browse.

Came out with a superb 2CD set, a golden oldie - "Voodoo Child", by the late, great Jimi Hendrix. There's a studio CD and a "live" CD, the latter compiled from some of the famous concert appearances of 1968-70: "Freedom" (Isle of Wight Festival 1970) and "The Star-Spangled Banner" (Woodstock, 18 August 1969).

Well over 2 hours of sheer genius for only £11.99! The sooner this (expletive deleted) Wimbledon is over, the better, I might be allowed to turn the CD player on and let rip! It HAS to be better than the endless twock! twock! twock! of tennis balls!

Ah, Hendrix. A man waaaay before his time. Watchtower has to be one of my all time top ten songs. Good on Bob for writing it, although I can't stand him normally.
