Daily Thread, Saturday, February 27

Good Morning everyone, Not feeling too great this morning this cold has re-emerged and gone onto my chest making me feel quite ill.

Shall be late getting Amber out this morning but she has even eaten her breakfast yet.

LG, sorry you have taken a backward turn with your lurgy too. It's rotten isn't it.

Harvey, glad Casey is getting there slowly bless him.

TW hope your girls settled down eventually, it's that Zen she leads them all a merry dance. She'll take a while yet before she grows out of it.

Hope everyone else is ok, take care all, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless.

Morning Moyra, hope you feel better soon. Maybe some steam would help you to breathe better. LG hope you are feeling better this morning and anyone else not up to par, doglets, pusscats and humans. Off out soon training. Wonder what the newbies will be like? Never really know until we get them in and seated even though we ask about any problems. Have a good morning everyone and afternoon.

Good morning

Sorry you are feeling unwell again Moyra keep as warm as possible today.

Good Gorden likes the new job Lynn but a blow on the money front but living in commutable distance and not having to shell out on living in London as well you may find it doable and also have a better life. I would think that Gorden would be less stressed

Hope his lordship's ear heals well Norma he is not having much luck with it is he. Hugs to the poor boy. As for bumblesnout she will grow up eventually - thats if she lives that long

Hope training goes well Brenda and not too many naughty puppies.

Hope you are feeling better today Gordon and the clergy has decided to leave you once and for all.

No doubt Dex the cat is still misbehaving but at least you know he nows feels better.

Best wishes to mil Mandy and hope she is feeling better soon.

Lovely and dry here this morning with a good breeze. Off to a garden centre later as they are offering 20 o/o off this weekend and I could do with a couple more shrubs, but will only buy what I like and want.

Have a god day and stay safe and warm

Morning all.
Sorry you have had a relapse Moyra, do you have the flu jab? I haven't even had a cold since having that. Just you watch now I will get a humdinger Hope you feel better soon.
Morning Brenda, good luck with your training session this morning.
Good morning Lynn, it's flippin freezing here, the wind is coming straight from the north pole I reckon!
Morning Norma, hope the little 'un will soon be better.
Sue, enjoy yourself at the garden centre, don't get cold

Our week of celebrations culminated in a lovely meal last night, spoiled by a loooong wait. In the end Brian complained after we had been waiting an hour and a half
The manager apologised and took something off the bill. We don't usually make a fuss but we had Kyla with us, who was very good seeing as it was way passed her bed time and our Daughter who had a 40 mile journey home.
Never mind it was a great night.

Dry and cold here,am quite happy with that, it is so much nicer walking on firm paths again and not wading through what feels like soggy treacle. I know its going to change next week and do not want it all to start again. Maybe the jetstream will take charge and push it up to the Arctic Circle area. I do wish they would finish whatever it is they are doing up by the river and I could get the girls on there again.
Norma, I have a Nuisance as well, she has started shredding the door of the little kennel again, think I may have forgotten to spray the area with strong pine disinfectant yesterday as I was faffing about with broken heat lamps, also thanks to her. Give Mr Fritz a kiss on his nose from me, the only part that won't be poorly from the sound of it Visitors are lovely but its nice when they've gone, you've washed the bedding and everythings back to how it was, won't say 'normal'
Moyra, keep warm and put the bluddy fire on woman!!! At least you aren't going to wet and cold, put your thermals on when you go out and wrap up when you take Amber out.
Mandy hope your mum-in-law is OK now, that is a real scare when something like that happens and you're in headless chicken mode.
Griff how is Dex this morning, is the pill taking bearable or has he hit new heights of being a pain.
Have a lovely morning with the babies, Brenda. They are sooo cute at that age aren't they, pity they have to grow up
Anything in particular you are looking for at the garden centre, Sue
How is Dillon with his lameness, Lynn. Are you having a quiet day today after all the travelling Gorden did yesterday
Nippy, you snuck in there, thought you may be having a lie in with all your Social Whirl recently. Thats not good having to wait that long for your meal, it takes the shine off it all doesn't it. Kyla was good wasn't she, a very long evening for her and then a long drive home as well

Moyra, never mind giving in, you should feel able to put that fire whenever you want, I hope this isn't about paying for your sons electricity for the new tank set up
Everyone been out, Mabs totally surpassed herself in stupidity today, can't you just tell she is going to come into season.
Was up on the towpath with her, Kesh and Zen, came back to me really well, put her lead on (am putting it on where she wants to stop and do it, so no fuss), a bit further on I stopped and put Zen and Kesh onlead, just coming up the track to the main road, and a load of cyclists appeared, mainly kids with a couple of older guys with them. One of them was asking me directions to the Meccano Bridge, next minute Mabs stood on her hind legs, shot backwards, I let go of the lead and she was gone, because there were BIKES there All the guys were great, took me ages to get her, had to sit down on a bit of wall with my back to her (rather than shoot her which is what I felt like doing) and they waited whilst we completed the required malarkey then we walked back up the track, and I stopped to thank them, and blow me if she didn't try it on again, kept hold of her by a wing and a prayer. She may not survive the next few weeks if we are going to have this carry on
Been watching Sharpe very very sad one where his wife is shot
