Tom - Rottweiller

Hope Rescue is looking for a new home for Tom, an 18 month old Rottweiler. He is a stunning dog with a bouncy, exuberant nature.



Tom came to us from the pound in November 2010 and has been in kennels ever since, which is understandably taking its toll. Like all of his breed, he is a loyal and loving dog looking to give someone his devotion. Being alone and behind bars is not suiting him.
Tom is looking for a new home as the only dog. Although he would be fine with dogs he meets out on walks he has not been assessed on how he would be living with another dog full time. He has not been tested with cats.

As you can see from the pictures he is a very attractive dog. He is also intelligent and biddable and has learnt the basic commands already. He is a large boy and strong on the lead so heelwork will need some continued focus.

Tom is looking for a home with no children. This is because he came to us from the pound so we do not know if he is used to the hustle and bustle children can bring. He is now showing some bad habits due to the high arousal levels when people are around in kennels such as jumping up and mouthing. When a kennelled dog sees a human it usually means walkies or food, the most exciting things about their day and he is having difficulty containing his emotions.

Tom will go out of our care as a foster dog to see how he settles in to a new home and allow him to be assessed further. We will offer full backup and behavioural support. His foster family could then decide if he is the one for them long term and if not, they can help us to rehome him from their home environment.



All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK.
