Gone Camping!

Hiya all! How ya all doin'? Me, I'm doing great! A few days back I took Buddy on a boat ride to the junction of the three arms of Butedale lake, and to a spot that I had always imagined would be the nicest campsite in the world.

I think I was right.

Looking left from camp.

Looking ahead.

Looking right.

Bud, watching some loons.

And lastly; Bud, playing in the water.

He finally swam for a stick a few times in the warm-ish water; so maybe I'll finally have a webbed-toed dog who actually likes to swim!

Righty then, just dropped in to say hello; "Hello!" And say that Bud and I are still loving our little slice of paradise.

Cheers!

Howdy everyone! Sorry 'bout being so tardy with my reply! Boat traffic is picking up with everyone headed back south at the end of the boating season, so I've been kept hoppin'. The camping trip was amazing; that spot is certainly the nicest I've ever camped at anywhere. I forgot to add a shot of the campsite from the water, here it is!

That's my camping hammock hangin' in the trees there. And the campfire spot is on the rock dead center near the bottom of the pic.

"Relatives in BC are concerned re the fire risk there; still not allowed they say."

Luckily for me that's just for the interior of BC! Here on the outer islands it's still wet and safe enough for a campfire.

Anyhoo, it's been busy, but the visitors to Butedale are almost without exception awesome folks. So busy ain't a bad thing by any means. Me and Bud even got invited to supper on one of the boats a couple nights ago.

Bud even got to sit at the table.

Righty then, busy calls again, so I'll say chow for now!

Cheers!
