Kitson - 1 year old male Bull Lurcher
Kitson, Bull Lurcher, DOB 07.11 – Farnham, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Kitson needs a family to help him continue to gain confidence meeting dogs; Not ready for rushed off lead contact but improving. A muzzle, as a temporary measure is helping with his intense socialisation in a high dog density area. Kitson could be an only dog or live with one other. Kitson is unproven with young children. He may settle with a cat or caged small furry. Secure garden or access to enclosed off lead area.
His Story: Kitson was found stray and unclaimed. Kennels aren't easy for Kitson. Homed for 5 weeks but although he proved himself in so many more areas than we would have predicted, his owner wants an off lead dog. Kitson is in boarding kennels near Farnham, Surrey from the 1st July. Neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated.
Advert: Kitson is a Bull Lurcher. His Greyhound genes are evident with his grace, lazy ways, sensitive nature and 'searching' focus on his walks and see him run! His bull breed origins come through in his soft and friendly approach and love of humans. He is build confidence walking outside and meeting off lead dogs. He is mostly comfortable meeting dogs but his nerve can make him defensive: it early days. Housetrained and settles when left and is non destructive. Travels well in the car.
Kitson is slender with a magnificent rich brindle coat. His eyes are bright and intelligent. His background impoverished; Hand shy with sudden movement but always retreats. His teeth carry damage for a young dog as though he has been kicked. He is doing so well in the home and is relaxed and easy with visitors generally. Outside he is gaining confidence. Kitson is taking huge strides forward.
