Morning everyone - Tuesday!

Morning all,

Well, it’s only Tuesday and already I’m creamed. I fell asleep in front of the TV last night – that’s usually a Thursday night thing.....

I shall be in a meeting all morning with my least favourite person, but at least lots of other people will be there, and they ALL know what an idiot she is. With any luck she’ll make herself look a pratt (again) and make my day.

Lunch is being provided, but I don’t think I’ll be staying for that. Free food tastes bitter in vile company.

Anyhoo, once that’s over I can go back to my desk and get on with my work.

Have a great day, everyone, and stay safe.

Today’s gem:
I love those random memories that make me smile no matter what is going on in my life right now.

Morning Vicki, morning all who follow.

Just a quick post to say that if I go AWOL it is because I am having computer problems and Effie does not have a loan computer at the moment for me if he takes mine away to sort it.

So I am sticking with mine for the moment until he can let me have a loan computer but as it keeps spectacularly crashing which takes me ages to sort out, I might not be around much.

So I wish everyone a good day, a good week, and hope to be back to normal posting asap!

Morning Vicki, Malka and all

Grit your teeth Vicki, you will make it! I am so glad I don't have those sort of problems.

I hope your computer problems are resolved soon Malka, we get kinda used to having them around.

The gem is quite apt atm, things are a bit fraught here.

The two young boys will be out on the bike today and the other four will have a nice walk. Then who knows what else I will get up to today!

Have a good day all.

Good morning Vicki, Malka and all who follow

It's still pretty dark outside - just coming lighter. Getting dark a lot earlier too. Short days are so depressing .

Chin up and big smiley face for that meeting Vicki and I hope your 'puter problems are sorted out soon Malka.

It was a beautiful day yesterday. Sunny and quite warmish - so much so that we had an ice-cream! Can put up with that in October.

We also found a place that sells beds so bought one - a king size no less - mainly because I'm sick of waking up because his lordship has his elbow stuck in my back. Of course, you can't buy a new bed without new bedding so I ordered some from Argos (we don't go for expensive bedding ) and we're picking that up today which gives us a good excuse for an extra breakfast this week instead of Mcd's as the breakfast cafe is on the same road as Argos.

Does anyone know the average price for having a couple of seats (one on each settee) re-padded? I love my suite, but a couple of the seats have definite dips in them and are getting uncomfy. I've never had anything done that needs an upholsterer so I'm a bit lost where to start.

Don't know what's going on with Rosie. The darker the mornings become, the earlier she gets up. It's creeping back to 6 am now. I dread to think what she'll be like when the clocks go back at the end of the month

I'm kinda thinking of getting meself a silly hat today - you know the ones, the type that come over the ears and tie underneath. Now they may not look too silly on other people, but, believe me, I look stupid in them, but, on the other hand, it may stop the terrible earaches I get when it's windy and who cares on cold and miserable days. Might even brighten up a few days when folk have to laugh at how stupid the old bird looks in a silly hat

Well, shower time to wake myself up.

Have a good 'un all

Morning Vicki, grandma, Gerry, Chris and everyone

Up early this morning coz Dave went at 6 am,. although Zena is still zonked out in her bed. She didn't get a walk yesterday at all as it was pouring with rain all day and we were busy, but have to say, it was the quietest she's ever been Kind of nice too!

I don't envy you at that meeting Vicki, but I hope you're right and she shows her true colours to a few more people there. Hope your puter behaves itself grandma. Lol at you and that silly hat Chris, you mean a deer stalker, they're great for keeping ears warm, but I'm the same as you, any hat makes me look very strange, probably coz I've got such a small head (honest!!!!)

Well, don't know what I've done to meself now, but I couldn't get out of bed this morning, I've managed to pull something or trap a big nerve in the back of my shoulder. I wanted a nice lie in with Dave going off, but I know it'll be better if I'm up and moving. I've stretched it about, prodded it where the sharp pain is, but it's still the same, but hopefully throughout the day, I'll do something else stoopid and untrap it lol!

I'm having a quiet few days till Dave gets back, coz we both overdid it these past 4 days trying to get this bootroom finished, but it almost is now, so I'm doing nothing except walking Zena and chilling, my body's telling me I need to slow down. Hey ho, the joys of getting old. I think Dave's very lucky that he has an old wife who's willing to muck in and do all this hard work I've been doing, and I think he was quite worried about me last night, which is nice, and made a pleasant change

Enjoy yours then whatever you're up to

Morning Vicki, morning all.

Chin up Vicki. Imagine her naked. Then again maybe not but I bet it gave you a giggle me saying that. At least I hope it did. Seriously I hope it all goes well today.

Malka I hope the computer is sorted very soon.
Gerri enjoy your day with the dogs and I hope you stop feeling less fraught soon.
Helena a rest sounds like a good idea. Hope the shoulder feels better soon.
Go on chris buy the hat Gorden has one so do I although I do wait till the cold is really unbearable before wearing mine. Gorden is already wearing his but he has no hair on the top of his head so feels the cold much earlier. He doesn't care about looking silly either.

I must go shopping today I cannot put it off any longer we are on our last two tea bags. That won't do. Firstly though walk Dillon when he has rested from his breakfast.
Still waiting for confirmation of visas. Trying to avoid the padded cell and straight jacket. Winning so far.

Love the gem today. Have a good day all.

Grit your teeth and smile sweetly...thats always guaranteed to get them wondering why she smiling at me....whats up...have I got a dirty face

Morning All before me sorry to those that have probs with computers, aches and pains etc., must admit though we have a King Size bed hun (B) and a certain person still manages to elbow me

Our foster son is doing outdoor activities today which includes building a fire to cook on.......well he came down in all his best clothes looking like he had stepped out of Next
The stand off was him moaning that he wanted to wear designer joggers and he had not got any....and me holding the form stating clearly ''Im not signing this until you dress appropriately for what you doing''
I won but not before a good half hour stand off took place....it was like guns at high noon

Hoping to tidy the garden this morning if the weather is kind and have a few tasks at hand to do

Have a great day folks

Morning Vicki and all,
Ignore her Vicki, well until she makes herself look an idiot, then have a little laugh . Do grab some free food though, don't miss out for her, even if you take it back to your desk.
I saw the doctor yesterday and she wanted to sign me off for a couple of weeks while they do another ECG this morning and then get me in as an urgent out patient at the hospital with the heart specialist. I had to refuse the signing off as I can barely pay my bills on what I earn and don't want the worry of getting behind with them if I can't work or get paid. I wish I could because I am really struggling at work to cope physically. I desperatly need a desk job instead of such a demanding physichal job, but I don't have any experience so nobody will take me on. They all want experience these days.
Hope Gordon hears about the visa soon Lynn, its awful for you both being in limbo like this, but i am sure they can't be long now.
Take it easy H, and I hope your nerve untraps itself quickly.
Chris I am wondering if Rosie is in cahoots with Kyiro as he is now getting me up at 5am every morning.
Malka hope you manage to stay with us.
Take care everyone whatever you are doing.

Meeting now over and all was well. She and I talked in the meeting and even had a little smile over something.

Got back to my desk and met up with her again in the kitchen. Started talking to her and she completely blanked me.

Ar*ehole...... (and I'm being polite)
