Rozie, Patterdale, DOB 01.09

Rozie, Patterdale, DOB 01.09

Homing requirements: Worldly wise little Miss Patterdale with lots of street-cred. Needs a family who 'gets' terriers and are prepared for the responsibility that entails with the lack of road sense and determination to explore beyond the fence if they hear a noise. Terrier proof garden required (6' panel fencing) and strict exit management. Proven with children. No small furries, feathers, cats or terriers!

Her Story: Rozie grew up with kids, dogs and cats. She managed fine as a puppy does, but when her chase instinct began to mature the cats were not amused to become her play things so she was passed on to another home where she had no real input or care. Play toppled over into noisy play with a puncture wound ... Rozie was out on her heels. Rozie was homed after a brief spell in kennels with us, but the family is moving abroad after just 3 months in her home ... poor Rozie. She is in this hoome until the end of July. Rozie is spayed, vax'd, wormed and flea treated.

Advert: Rozie Lee needs an invite for Afternoon Tea ... she is full of laughter and glee. Rozie is loving, and tries to please, but really doesn't know what is expected of her. You see she has really always just rubbed along and got by. Will calm down nicely, but is up "in a tick and into a pickle" if she isn't guided. She'll be beside you, involved in the gardening, helping you in every way she can! She is past all her chewy puppy phase, but enjoys gifts and toys. Above all she adores cuddles and games ... and is self entertaining too.

Rosie walks ahead on the extender and thinks 2x about coming back, but a squeaky toy, a whistle or a promise of a cuddle and she run back for licks and kisses. You've got the idea ... she is adorable, but you need a responsible attitude towards her care and safety: A lifestyle which focuses on her needs and shared interests with good quality food, lots of socialisation and a calm atmosphere in the house. This will help her find her rhythm and routine and she'll learn expectations and how to please. Yes lots and lots of "good girls!" will make her just what she is ... a good, good girl!

If you are interested in re-homing please complete our Homing Questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.

***PLEASE NOTE: We are a rescue finding dogs their forever homes. We usually ask for a minimum donation of £150 at the time of adoption, for each dog, to help us continue helping homeless dogs***.
