Are bananas ok for dogs?

I know raisins, grapes, onions etc aren't good for dogs - but what about bananas? Do any of you feed your dogs a bit of banana occasionally?

My Westie seems to have taken a liking to it. My crossbreed won't touch it.

Meant to add that i've Googled it, and from what i've found a bit of banana now and again is ok for dogs. I would just like to know if anyone feeds their dogs bananas.

Dale likes quite likes banana but he always tries to take bits to bed. You can imagine the mess. He enjoys most fruit and veg. but its only banana he wants to sleep on!

We are 6 English Setters and we absolutely love bananas - and their skins. Mum gives us the strips from the skin of the one she has for breakfast and we sometimes get the insides too but they arent as nice. She doesnt think there should be any problems as they are full of zinc and magnesium and good for us.

I'd happily share my banana with my two but they hate them, won't even take it to their bed to think about it.
