Good luck.

I'm sure there are rescues that will take him - my local one would (although unfortunately we are far too far away to help).

Please do let us know how you get on.

What about The Mayhew seeing as you are in London
Also BDH have their other two centres, one in Kent near me, and one in Windsor as well as the actual Battersea one.
Dogs Trust also now have rehoming centres in London.

Good Luck, hope you find somewhere for him

Hi,

I know of 2 rescues who elp all breeds but particularly GSDs and GSD Xs. neither rescue allow dogs to be put down and usually get them out of places like B'ham Dogs' Home before they're PTS.

I'll ask tomorrow if either can help out.

I can't take him myself as my big GSD is a little nervous around big dogs thanks to an incident at Christmas.

I'll post back when I have answers.

Hi SimShady,

One of the rescues I do a littel bit of helping out with have a possible place for him in Bath. They would need to know if he's entire, good with other dogs (& bitches), and has he been reported to the lcoal dogs' home etc already as they need to knwo if he's stolen?

Obviously you haven't stolen him, but it doens't mean to say thathe wasn't pinched previously and then dumped.

If you could find out whether the local police and dog wardens have already heard of him (re being stolen) then the rescue will accept him.

Are you sure he was dumped by his owners? Maybe he was stolen... Could you take him to the vet and check for a microchip? You said he was well looked after, so he might just have one.
