Question about the rabies jab

Hi,

My pup had her rabies jab today (we live in France and it is still strongly recomended) and tonight I have noticed she is a bit lethargic. Could this be a side effect?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Em.

Sometimes vaccinations can cause dogs to be a bit lethargic, much the same as in people. I'd just keep an eye on her and lots of TLC.

Thanks Mahooli,

She has been off her food for a couple of days too (I've posted in the DIET section) so I'm being a little paranoid.

I shall definitely keep a close eye and I'm sure there will be plenty of hugs too.

No, since Sunday morning. We brought her home Saturday afternoon and she ate normally saturday night but since then has bearly touched her food.

That's probably why she's feeling funny and lethargic. I would try and tempt her with a small amount of boiled chicken, not too much so she doesn't think that's what she's going to get all the time!
And just a note to remember it is best not to vaccinate any dog if they are not 100%. Really your vet should have waited until pup was eating.

Just a quick update.

Pip is much better this morning. She had a good feed late last night and this morning is on 'top form'.

I shall still keep an eye but for now she seems right as rain.

Thanks again for your advice Becky...
