max would probably try and bulldoze it if we ever dare shut the living room door he takes run ups at the door and barges it open. one day when he had been in a bog where cows hung out yuck i brought him home and hosed him down quickly and had to go collect kids so i shut him out of the living room as its the only room with carpet and i didnt want him on the carpet or sofa i was gone 20 minutes and came back and he was on the settee! so we have given up now

I shouldnt laugh but that is really funny. Abby is able to open our stair gates and could easily jump the one at the bottom of the stairs.
