A small question, and some pictures thrown in (labs, jake)

While sorting through some photos I noticed a theme with pic of my three and coco from next door. When I get them all to sit they will do this but Coco will sit behind mine and will not sit any closer(she does this on her own) So why does she, is it something to do with the three yobs.

These are just three of them, there is quite a few more.

The closest she will get.

Cheers both, Its not something that bothers me as such but it would be nice to know if there is a cause.

OH what great pics there! I can only suggest she's last in the line for treats and she knows it!

Lovely pics

Tilly (border collie I'm looking after) won't get close to my two either and she won't take treats from me when my two are around (even Eddy who's a total gent).

I can only assume that not only is she very polite and a bit shy, she's also terrified of Takara who's a complete bossy boots!

Could be, but with Coco I know shes not shy, so it could be out of politeness but if it is, its the first for a lab in my expeirience.

Stormey - First this is just my thoughts and not based on any scientific test but it might be to do with hierachy. In our 'pack' I've observed that Rianna will usually walk behind Bara, likewise she'll rarely sit very close to her and never sleeps close by. When I give them treats Bara sits right up close to me but Rianna always sits a little further back. Dogs know (and readily accept) their place in the pack (Unlike humans!)

As I say it's just from my observation and may be wrong !!

I would guess it's to do with hierarchy, she knows that's not her 'pack'. Just a guess!

Maybe she just knows her place, Phill.

Gorgeous photos anyway
