My two eat grass (the raw fed one eats much less than the one that gets a dry complete food).

Apparently it helps to clean out the intestines.

Lennon constantly grazes - not only grass, but just about every kind of foliage - I think he's a part-time cow

I remember speaking to a vet years back when they said eating grass is down to three things.

1. It can help an upset stomach.
2. If a dog has been deprived of food for whatever reason they may eat what they can.
3. He said being the most likely by a long way is its just one of the odd things dogs do.

I remember thinking it makes sense.

Axel eats the grass until there is a bald patch on the lawn then licks the soil until its really wet and he has a black tongue then he digs a big hole he's a nutter but I love him LOL

But its never done him any harm, my gardens the only thing that suffers and my ankles when I go to hang the washing out and fall down a pot hole.

I'm off now Ben is asking for his walkies and hubby is moaning for his tea. Ben comes first and always. Get your lead Ben lets go. You never know he might have cooked tea by the time we get home. (I don't think so)
