The Gammy Knee

Finally, my hospital appointment is through and I am off on Monday to Kings College Hospital to see the specialist.

I've no idea what to expect, but any treatment, no matter how painful, has to be better than what I'm currently experiencing. I'd really like my life back, please.

I guess the response I am absolutely dreading is if they say that they can't help..... That would be devastating.

Here's hoping......

Is it just the 2 of us Vicki. Really do hope you can get something sorted about your knee, it seems to have gone on for ages.

It has, hon. Incredibly, it's now over seven months since I did it! It didn't help that the GP sent me for physio....... which just made it worse....

Ho hum!

The GP knows the kneecap is partially dislocated from the x-ray and the x-ray also points towards there being some cartilage damage. I've also got osteo-arthritis in both knees, but that's to be expected what with my age and weight.
It would be nice if it could be fixed simply, I must say!

Vicki, I hope they can sort it out for you hun, good luck.

I know what you mean about being afraid they can't do anything - I was told months ago when I went to the hospital about my knee (which is giving way, stiffening up, I'm unable to move it without helping with my hands, and scream if the cat stands on it) they told me there was nothing wrong with it...

Best wishes for Monday - Kings are fantastic, I was in Kings liver department when I had the DVTs and they were excellent! I'm sure they'll sort you out!
