Nedzer - a smashing boy of 5 years old

Meet Mr Nedzer a smashing boy of 5 years old and 28" to the shoulder. Nedzer was 'surplus to requirements' and so found a rescue space with us at Kerry Greyhounds to help him find a loving forever family which we don't think should take too long as he is just LOVELY!



Location: Kennels in Norfolk. Nedzer would love a foster home while he waits for his forever family.
Key points: VERY affectionate and pushes into you for cuddles, loves other greyhounds, happy and playful, loves treats.

~ Personality ~
Generally: Very affectionate, very cuddly and loving.
Nedzer is a gorgeous black boy with a tiny white bib who will look beautiful once the condition of his coat improves with TLC and good food in his tummy. Nedzer came to us with his litter brother Edzer who is also looking for his forever family,

~ In the Home ~
Generally: Nedzer hasn't had the luxury of living in a home yet but does try to keep his kennel clean.
Sadly Nedzer has never been in a home environment before but tries to keep his kennel space as clean as possible and loves treats so house-training should come naturally to this lad once he is in a loving home. It has to be said that although the kennel staff are fond of all their dogs this boy is the firm favourite but don't tell anyone we said so! (but they do just luuuuuuuurve him!!!)


~ Other Animals ~
Generally: Good with other greyhounds, not yet cat tested.
Nedzer has been very well behaved with all the greyhounds and around other dogs at the kennels but has not yet been cat tested although this can be arranged prior to adoption if needed.

~ Out and About ~
Nedzer loves to be out and about and is a good boy on the lead, bouncy and happy but he doesn’t pull so is a pleasure to walk with. Ongoing training will really benefit him so he may eventually go off lead but this must not be attempted until his new family have had adequate bonding time and ONLY in a safe place away from public roads and livestock.


~ Greyhounds as Pets ~
In general greyhounds are very calm, mannerly dogs that are used to being handled. They can fit into a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired.

~ Where Can I Live? ~
We feel Nedzer would be happy living with at least one other dog for company as he is very playful but he also has the potential to be happy as a single dog with lots of attention with someone who is at home for most of the day and also quite an active home where he will be taken for nice long walks. Please note we do not home dogs to households with children under the age of 8.



~ Where Am I? ~
Nedzer has just moved into a foster home in Norfolk so you will have to travel to meet him and also collect him from Norfolk when the time comes for him to join your family. This lad would benefit so very much from a chance to live in a foster home, we are always eager for new foster volunteers. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us.

Nedzer is neutered, vaccinated, de-flead, wormed and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please be aware that a home-check will be carried out as part of the adoption agreement.
