Timmy - 2yo bouncy black lad aka Timmy the Tigger!

Hold on to your hats folks and let us introduce you to Timmy the Tigger! He is a beautiful black 2 year old boy who is 28" to the shoulder and is looking for a new family to take him in. Lovely Timmy Tigger was dumped in a pound by his trainer as he didn't meet 'racing requirements' and would have run out of time very quickly had we not had the chance to give him a safe place under The Kerry Greyhounds umbrella. Timmy really is 'Tigger' from Winnie The Pooh and is a very beautiful bouncy boy who simply can’t get into words just how much he loves life!

Location: Kennels in Norfolk. Timmy would love a foster home while he waits for his forever family.
Key Points: Very loving and Oh so excited to meet you all, bright and responds to treats. Always up for an adventure! Needs to be in a harness as can be excitable and a bit daft until he has calmed down. His coat is dull at the moment but will shine like a mirror once he has good food in his tummy and lots of TLC.

~ Personality ~
Generally: Very friendly, loves people, bouncy, lively, active mind, responds to treats and praise.
Timmy has only been under our care for a few weeks but always brings a smile to everyone that meets him and his love of life is infectious. He is bouncy, super cuddly and so affectionate, a joy to be around him. Timmy also has an active mind and likes to be with you, doing exciting things. He would enjoy accompanying people for long walks as he has lots of energy but he also loves his sleep! He loves his treats and this makes him quite trainable, he really is a LOVELY dog and will do SO well in the right kind of home.

~ In the Home ~
Timmy hasn't had the luxury of living in a home yet but he does his very best to keep his kennel clean.
We think that with gentle guidance Timmy Tigger will get to grips with house training in a short space of time once he is in a home environment as he is a clever and clean little boy.

~ Other Animals ~
Generally: Very good with the other dogs he has met so far, confident, friendly. Oh and did we say bouncy?!
Timmy has been excellent with the other dogs in our kennels so far. He hasn't been specifically tested with small dogs yet or cats but this can be arranged prior to adoption if needed.

~ Out and About ~
Generally: Good on lead after a while, excitable, friendly, social and outgoing.
Timmy is good on the lead once he gets over the initial excitement of being out and about. Due to this initial excitement it is advisable to walk him on a harness as well as his collar. General training is all this boy needs to make a brilliant family member.

~ Where Am I? ~
Timmy Tigger is currently in kennels in Norfolk. He can be homed anywhere in the UK provided we have a homechecker available, but please note that you will be required to travel to Norfolk to meet and collect him.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Timmy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed. A home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure. This dear boy would benefit so very much from a chance to live in a foster home and Kerry Greyhounds UK is always eager for new foster volunteers. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us. Please also be aware that we do not home to families who have children under the age of 8 years old.

We would love to find this boy a foster home while he waits to be adopted. If you are interested in adopting or fostering Timmy, you can contact me (Bronwen) via email: bronwen@kerrygreyhounds.co.uk, or you can speak to me directly by phoning: 075 000 62648.

There are application forms for both adopting and fostering a Kerry Greyhound, and we will ask you to fill the relevant one in as the first step in the adoption/fostering process. To speed up this process, we recommend you do this before emailing/calling. You can find the forms, as well as further information on our homing & fostering procedures, on either the Adoption Page or Fostering Page of our website.

Thank you.
