Different people have different eye tests but there is nothing to worry about, you will probable be asked to look at a screen across the room and say if one symbol looks clearer than another or which line of type is clearest, if you are over a certain age you will all so have a test for glaucoma and again it is done in a different way by different diagnostic systems.

I had a letter before christmas for another eye test, completly forgot until I read your post.................thanks sweep just made an appointment

They did alsorts at my last eye test, had to read off a board, different lenses in glasses, had to look at a dot of light on the wall and they bring another dot in from the side and you have to say when you see it. They also put some liquid in my eye and I had to wait for half an hour and then they looked into the back of my eye to check for detached retina's as it runs in the family and I was having problems, Everything was ok though

Yes, they put a pair of glasses on your nose and they change the lens and ask you which is the better, Glaucoma, I have had a puff of air in my eye and I have had the optician just take a look after putting drops in, you may even get something different, as they all use the method they are comfortable with. But worry not, none require you to remove your underwear unless you are a good deal luckier than I have ever been.
