Printer Help!!

Right ok well my printer hasnt been working for a while now

Everytime ive tried to print something out a voice says " Problem communicating with the printer" and then it says something about needing it to connect with a usb port and do something on device manager.

Well ive had a good look around device manger and ive done everything what it says for me to do but nope still doesnt work Plus its really doing my head in at the moment because im doing projects for school etc and i need to print out stuff now and again

is it switched on all the time Laura?

Make sure the USB cable is connected properly at both the printer and PC.

Yes i have checked that loads of times

I only switch it on when im printing something out.
