They like to scare you!! Mia gone missing

Dont panic - shes back

Walking today I decided to find out where a wee path went
after a while I was crawling tru bushes I realised it prob wasnt a human path - but I was enjoying the adventure (its great with dogs, you get to be a kid again)
Ben went off after something in the undergrowth Mia following
Nothing unusal there
Ben was back withing about 10s, Mia is usualy a little later so I carried on walking
after 30s still no Mia, unusual for her
I call once - dont even hear anything
(and mia isnt exactly dainty when she is running)
Ben starts to get stressed and running off in all directions and back to me
I cant follow the path the dogs took as it is thick undergrowth so I keep following the path

Then I hear Mia yelping really loudly

Starting to panic - I dont really know where she is!!

Path is a dead end

Ben is zooming and getting really frantic

I retrace my steps and find another way round
Mia is now HOWLING

I start charging tru the undergrowth calling to her saying it will be OK - and really worrying about what has happend

she goes quiet
I am not sure exactly where the noise came from

Then when I am thigh deep in brambles and nettles (in shorts of course) I see a movement over by the path
I head over there

Up trots Mia, a little sheepish but not a scratch on her!!

Ben gave her lots of kisses and I gave her treats and cuddles

Goodness knows what happend!! But she is safe and fine (and biting my feet as I type)

What a scare!

So glad it all ended well These dogs put years on us!

I took Tala in the forest today. She'd never been there before but of course she went zooming off along the path. When she disappears I stand still and wait for her to realise I'm not with her and then she comes galloping back. It's only about half a minute but seems like forever cos I think if she gets lost I may never find her again. She hangs around for a little bit and then she goes charging off again

Maybe we should get them one of those tracking collars.

Thanks guys
I think I aged about 10 years a min out there but I am no worse for it - and not even stung that badly

The only other times I have heard Mia yelp like that is when she got tangled up in her seatbelt - so I can only guess she went charging headfirst somewhere (she does leap before she looks) and got tangled up in a ditch or something
But managed to get herself free eventually

I had such visions of what could have happend to her!! I was expecting lots of blood!!
