Same here H. And I actually got sick of some of my family members always going on about 'racism' - I have never experienced any and I have worked in a few public facing environments. My advice to this one family member was, look, sometimes people have wrong impressions about certain people - it's up to you to quash those and make people see that you're actually a nice person. Everyone faces some sort of discrimination, whether it's your background, your colour, your sex, your education, where you were educated even - like you said you have to help yourself and break down barriers if they exist.

Apparently my town centre is now closing and riot police are gathering....according to twitter and someone who was in town.
I texted my close family to check they're alright and my Mum hadn't even heard about the riots!
I really hope they stop soon. If you're on twitter there is a nationwide movement called #riotcleanup and it's amazing to see something positive come from all this, 100's of people are helping each other clean up the streets after the idiots destroyed it. Makes me so mad that they do this.

That really shows the stupid mentality of these people. All people who own businesses are rich? really?

Why the hell cant we put people to sleep and put them out their misery?

Theres a video on youtube, where its said a teenage girl is being 'battered' by the police- with a comment saying this started the riots??, but you cant make much of the dark blur, not sure if to post because the language is terrible.

It started out in Tottenham after a peaceful protest about police shooting a man last thursday. Then later on some youths decided to riot and then youths in other parts of London have decided to start just for the of it.

Some are saying its a reaction to them having no opportunities and being poor ect. IMO its cuz they are scum and dont give a damn about anyone else and they think they are clever.

Just to add, the shoot man was a known crack dealer and involved in gangs.

They should all be battered!!
