When i was a child back in the 70's,there was a series on ITV called Armchair thriller and one particular episode called 'Quiet as a nun' scared me silly.

I cant remember the exact plot from this episode, but it finished with private eye Jemima Shaw going upto a belfry tower and confronting a nun without a face! I had nightmares for weeks afterwards, but was only about 8 years old...

ps.This was apparently the first outing of a particular Jemima Shaw (later series called Jemima Shaw investigates).

I tried bidding on Ebay for the 'Quiet as a nun' episode last year (VHS copy from tv),but stopped bidding when it reached £20!

I think my scariest movie moment was watching the Exorcist. It really freaked me out - even reading the book scared me witless. Even now, nearly 30 odd years later, I can't watch it alone.....
