And a sheep...

Well, when you accept help because you rescue... so now I am keeping watch on an injured ewe... Beautiful black faced yearling with curved horns, but she stinks!

Nothing quite like a wet sheep..

The dogs have yet to meet her but the fence is good...

I like sheep the farmer who has the fields next to my house is not a good stockman and I seem to spend a lot of time donning gardening gloves and rescuing ewes from brambles and wire

Good luck with your ewe Rosebud

I remember that from way back, Meg; good for you. Landlord is a caring man but sometimes too soft.

This poor girl cannot stand up. She is sitting there in the rain munching the good grass as far as she can reach then pulling herself round for more,, I think he knows she will not live so has found a quiet place.. wish he had sheltered her though. Dogs are fascinated of course.

Just phoned my landlord asking please will you take the ewe to shelter as she cannot move and there is a storm starting.. Hate making that kind of call but he was fine. She has no shelter and will suffer in cold and heavy rain as we are getting now. Her front legs work but not her back. Shaking here as I hate being confrontational, but it has to be sometimes. Poor ewe... Wish I could magic her better.

Me too as she has such a pretty face.. All she did was graze on a bank and fall awkwardly.

She will be in straw in a shed now and if she is going to heal will do so.

There is a film on youtube a tourist took re the Connor Pass here in Kerry and he filmed a sheep falling down the mountain followed by her lamb. Nothing anyone could do in that terrain.
