Worthwhile checking out the second hand book shops too - you can get some bargains - but quite often WH Smith have good offers on - buy one get one half price and stuff like that You can see WHSmith at most large train stations like Victoria etc...

At the moment I'm reading 'Rosie' by Alan Titchmarsh, it's hilarious

Just not long bought a pile of Inspector Morse p/bs for £1 each, now wading through them ("The Secret of Annexe 3" at the moment).

I haven't read any of the James Patterson books yet, but have two on DVD (Alex Cross character, played by the excellent Morgan Freeman). I may try the Library for them soon, though (as has Mel, we have an excellent ordering service from the brand-new library in Kirkwall, 30p a throw. (They do an excellent selection of CDs, too, and don't ask if you've cloned them ).

I have a few books on the computer, too, downloaded from a Russian website, in MS Word format - four Harry Potters amongst them.

(The interest in Harry Potter stems from having the DVDs)
