I can just imagine Rocky curled up on your sofa, he probably thinks you're going soft!

I hope that you continue to have have your time together. I do agree with you though, personally I think that the vet coming to you rather than the other way round is less stressful for both of you and gives you more privacy when the time does come

Yes, that's the reaction I had too, with Ria it went from nothing to a ball as big as a garapefruit in a matter of weeks. That was removed and it grew again

Just do the best you can for him and I hope and pray the medication will start to work. His pictures show what a great dog he is.
