Colour dominance - Staffs

I wonder what Stafford owners think of the seeming dominance of Blacks (barely brindles) in the showring? Do you think soon the old colours will go into such a decline you'll never see them again?

Mitch you have a gorgeous tiger brindle, but do we see enough of them in the showring/streets?I think not myself.

And I know I have blacks almost brindles. But I prefer (sorry my two girls) brindles. OBVIOUSLY the health, conformation, teprament of the dog comes first BUT colour is very much a matter of personal choice>

So whats your favourite colour? And should there be more of them?

Karen

PS Edited to say I have not put this in heated debates, because we are all grown up

I dont own staffs but i do myself like the red and blue

I agree blacks do dominate the ring, but as you said if the health, temperment is top notch who cares

There should be more of a range in coat colour in staffs

Ever since we lost our old (black) staff Dolly (over 10 years ago), I had made plans for my 'retirement pup' who would be fawn with a black mask and be called Sybil!

Plans often don't work out. I think I would still be waiting for a fawn now....they're just not fashionable, I gather.

But, as you say Kazz - the colour really doesn't matter.

Although I do like all colours I must hold my hand up and say I do actually prefer the black and black/brindle best of all only next to a really nice white :smt023

Are white ones prone to the skin issues like EBTs?

I like Black's but with brindle nothing nicer than seeing the brindle on a summers day - as you know Dinah's Mom. Next a tiger brindle like Mitch's Rio.

And no fawns aren't popular these days apart from to those trying to breed the money spinning blue's.
