Yes, if need be.

All animals who hunt will eat when they have caught something so my thinking is that it should be OK.

to an extent I agree and can see the reasoning here, but that said most animals that have to hunt for there dinner these days will not be very deep chested?
I would think the process of eating something like a rabbit would take longer and be more time consuming than wolfing down the sort of stuff we feed our dogs,

Tell that to mine when they get bits of bunnies left by careless hunters (G)!

Still slower than kibble though!

The only thing they seem to agree on in bloat is that it is usually deep chested dogs, other than that they don't have a clue.

Better safe than sorry if you are worried about it though.

I'm new to all this!
I was told by a trainer to leave it half an hour.

I'd say an hour personally, gives it time to go dowm a bit.

That includes running around playing as well, I make mine chill after they have eaten. It does mean that except for Etta they don't get breakfast, they have a few bits of kibble for breakfast, lunch then tea.

Its hard with a lively pup to fit it all in!

i always do 2hrs before and after food.

it used to be an hour but after GDV my vet told me deep chested dogs should wait 2hrs.

ALWAYS feed twice a day when mature.

Hi you should let you dog rest after food about 3hrs,but if its only to go to toilet keep on a lead dont let dog run around. To much excersise can cause a twisted gut.
