'Clicky' bones? (supplements for joints)

Teagan clicks a lot when she walks - more so in the morning!
Supplements confuse me, as everyone lists different things, and also, I can't afford a whole pharmacy full of them

At the moment she is on Syn-flex, and I also give her echinacea, as she has had a few minor problems with her immune system.

What are the other main supplements she should be having?
I've done a search, but there are so many supplements listed, I feel overwhelmed

Thanks, there is a substance that starts with a G but I am like you and find the long lists of supplements and medications confusing. Sure someone will know what I mean and when they tell us I will be getting some for myself

I have clicky knees so I know how she feels Have you tried the Omega 3 Pure Fish Oil capsules? I get mine from Tesco and they are about £1.48 for 30 tablets and they are for joints and heart.

Synflex will help a great deal as it has Glucosamine, Chondriton and loads of other really good stuff in it already. But Green Lipped Mussell can help some dogs, although it didn't do anythng for Woody.

This is where I used to get it from-

http://www.1stvitality.com/musseltone/index.html

Also try Fish Body oil (Zipvit are as you know!) and Woody's also on Devils Claw a natural anti inflammatory (Zipvit again!)

Hope that helps a bit.

Glucosamine, that was the word I was looking for. Have not found green lipped mussells of much help either, but think anything is worth a try, if you can afford it.

I have used Runaround with good effect on panosteitus(?) and arthritic joints in different dogs resonably cost effective and contains :

For the nutritional maintenance of supple joints, and healthy cartilage and muscles.
Runaround is a nutritional aid to mobility, containing:-
* Muco-polysaccharides extracted from shark cartilage.
* Green lipped mussel extract.
* Ascorbic acid, vital to the manufacture of collagen.
* Vitamin E, which helps preserve muscle cell membrane stability.
* Runaround is simply added to the feed.
* Supplied in 100gm tubs, usage for a medium sized dog - 6gm per day for 5 days, then 3gm per day.
* 100gm lasts a medium sized dog 4 weeks.
