Abandoned Saluki pups (pics)

Taken from Greyhound Rescue West England
We have had a busy week - to say the least! A lovely saluki bitch in very bad condition was abandoned. tied up to a tree near the pound.. covered in mange and obviously recently had pups - we found a foster home for her.

Then just two days later..... some pups had been dumped at a vet near her - could we take them.... they are most definately Suri's puppies.
So late yesterday evening saw the arrival of Maggie, Dott, Moth, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Kevin and Perry - yep EIGHT pups! ALL covered in mange and looking very sad indeed. They are now in isolation and treatment has began.. they need treating for the mange, bellies full of worms and antibiotics for their rattly chests.... Please wish them well as they need all the good thoughts you have to get through this important next week for them.... Will keep you updated.

As you can imagine with Suri's treatment and 8 pups all needing the same GRWE are going to need all the help and support we can, not to mention the extra sets of vaccinations not accounted for!!!
these are not the only needy GRWE pups at the moment either - there is another litter of 6 weeks old and another bitch just arrived from the pound due to whelp in the coming week....

Thanks for looking. GRWE are having an auction on the hond longe to raise money for these unexpected pups!!

Oh my god, those poor babies. Thank goodness they were able to take them in. They are gorgous and I hope they all make a full recovery. What is wrong with people to let the family get into such a state the dump them!
