Day One : Saturday 20th October 2012 : Herbal Biomechanisms.

Herbal Biomechanisms - Thomas Ingraham BSc MA

In recent years there has been a growing interest in the therapeutic value of certain plants and how they work. Thomas Ingraham will be speaking on the scientific research uncovering how various herbs can affect the biological mechanisms that underpin pain, inflammation, fevers, growths and anxious & depressive behaviours. The talk will aim to cover the mechanisms of 15 commonly used herbal plant extracts including lemon, valerian, yarrow and St John’s wort.

Day Two : Sunday 21st October 2012 : An Introduction to Applied Zoopharmacognosy

An Introduction to Applied Zoopharmacognosy – Caroline Ingraham

Caroline Ingraham, the founder and pioneer of Applied Zoopharmacognosy, will be speaking about her 25 years of experience observing and enabling self-medicative behaviour in domestic and captive animals with physical and behavioural symptoms. During the talk, Caroline will be demonstrating a canine Applied Zoopharmacognosy session to illustrate the key principles involved.

The day I went on last Sunday was mind blowing, I have booked myself on the canine two day one in Bristol in February and am currently absorbing the book.
