Gone but not forgotten

It has been many moons since I first joined Dogsey and I haven't posted for a good couple of years so there may not be many people left that will even remember my guys but since my user name was created as an amalgamation of their names it seems only fitting that they get a farewell mention here.

Sadly Misty passed away 2 weeks ago yesterday then Angel passed away last night. My heart is well and truly shattered and my house is eerily quiet. I miss them so much.

Angel: May 2005 - November 2017

Misty: August 2005 - October 2017

Gone but never forgotten and always loved.

Thank you everyone.

Yes it has been a very rough few weeks, and I'm finding the loss of Angel particularly hard. With Misty we knew her time was coming up, we got a week to fill with lovely walks, extra snuggles and all the things we normally wouldn't let her have. She left us still happy and full of life in a calm and peaceful manner. Sadly the same can't be said for Angel, he only became unwell yesterday afternoon and even then didn't seem overly ill, from vomiting at 7pm which was the first real sign of illness he rapidly went down hill, it was a long way to the emergency vets with a ton of road closures and a seizure on route, in the time it took them to go and grab pain relief he was already gone, it was far from peaceful. I feel so guilty for not acting sooner than I did.

So very, very sorry for your losses - you must be devastated.

Remember, hindsight is a wonderful thing. You couldn't have known and you did the very best you could.

Run free and shine down brightly xxx

I second that. Couldn't have said it any better.

So sorry to read this, to lose one to the bridge is always hard, but to lose the other so soon.... I can imagine how you feel. Do not feel guilty, you did your best and Angel knew she was loved and is now with Misty, pain free, take comfort that they are together and you have two new angels to watch over you.
