Does a 1st_3rd place at this years crufts qualify your dog for next year?

Hi is crufts classed as a champ show for purpose of qualifying for next year? Just asking as my recognise some names in the top 3 in there breed class,or do they need to enter welks or other champ shows to qualify for crufts 2013.

I thought you had to qualify again after crufts as i cant see how you would qualify for crufts at crufts without a studbook number.

Yes you need to check which classes as only the qualifying classes would i.e. I think a 2nd or 3rd in our breed in the good citizen class is not a qualifying class?

But yes Crufts does qualify you for Crufts next year which I am pleased about as Connor got 3rd in limit so can just enjoy the champ shows again without the added worry of qualifying! Bentley qualified at Manchester.

Crufts is slightly different as well, for instance 1st 2nd 3rd in the normal classes you would have at champ shows. But at Crufts a first in undergraduate, graduate, good citizen etc qualifies you (any first at Crufts qualifies you). Hope that makes sense. THe normal classes puppy, junior, yearling, post grad, limit, open all are 1st to third as per a normal champ show with cc's

When I asked someone that's recentely returned to breed showing they were very convinced that you could qualify. For crufts and not all champ shows either. You had to qualify a one of champ shows earmarked as a qualifier for your breed.
