I only put down one choice on the form. Mind you, its the activities register not the breed one so perhaps more choice available.
The KC did phone me when they got my Defa`s form, they said I could`nt use his actual name within it because a breeder uses Defa in their affix or suffix or whatever it it and that miffed me because its his own name not a breed kennel name and it was`nt even the same register plus many people have a common name or word included ie Black Satin, Black Magic, Prince of, etc etc so I thought it was a bit much not to let my lad have his own pet name in there. I had to use one of his `extra` names instead [ you know the sort, the daft names we call our dogs by while using silly voices lol ].
Other than that I`ve had my only listed choice accepted so far.
Mind you, because of Defa`s I now phone first to see if what I want is/was available before sending the form.

Got our affix 53 years ago & it was our 24th choice, they kept rejecting everything we sent & then on the last lot we were one short & mum said well as the affixis in yours & your fathers name how about using mine as the affix so dad reversed her name Lorna & put it as our final choice & thats how we got anrol.

I got my first choice (about 6 months ago), it's an old Lithuanian name - I hoped there wouldn't be any like it and there weren't!! It's rather long though so I have to keep the pups names short!!LOL

I think mine was around the 8th choice..

I put 6 on the form and all were rejected.. too close or already registered..

I really wanted.. WynterWolf.. cos its half the affix of both my dogs (WynterMyst & Snowolf)

But ended up with WintaIce

Wow, I didn't realise it could be so difficult to register an affix! I feel even luckier now!

It's highly unlikely they would tell you it's OK if you can't have it. The approval aspect is just going through the motions really. In other words, what I'm trying to say is, TELL US NOW!

Ok, ok I'll tell!

It's Bonisla!

Taken from the name of my first black and white English Springer, Bonnie, who is the reason I'll always own the breed. And Isla my current ESS, who will hopefully be the start of my kennel. Tests pending obviously!

Dead chuffed I am!!!
