Need Carpet Advice Please

We've painted Carys' room yellow and cream. Opted out of pink. What colour carpet should we get?

I've seen a lovely red/orange one but I quite like the idea of lilac/mauve too.

Been looking for ages and just can't get an idea of what they'd look like at home.

The best thing to do is take a sizeable sample about a square foot of the colours you have used to the carpet shop. Narrow down the ones you think go and then ask to borrow the carpet sample. The likes of Carpet right and Allied usually charge a deposit of about £20 which is refundable when you return the sample. I did this last month and the samples looked completely different in the room compared to what they looked like in the shop.

Here's mine Lucky which is grape colour, bordering on the mauve, and my walls are pale cream, sofa is cream, etc. and it goes fantastic. I got mine from Carpetright from the Hilton range, but I went in there the other week to have Dave's room carpeted and he told me they don't do this colour anymore, but he was a saturday boy, so how does he know?!!!!

sorry about the dog, she gets in everywhere that Cassie!

I used to be very dubious about lilac, but we painted our front room in a very cool, greyish lilac, and it's so chilled out I think it would be a good choice for a little girl's room because, as she gets older, it can be calmed down with creams/beiges/grey tones or jazzed-up with pinks depending on what she's into at the time

those pics look good...
cna't be anymore use than that, other than to say...have you thought about wood or laminate or the like???
Useful for rolling things round and can always put a big rug down...kids spill things and puke and things on carpets....
