LOL yes, the pooping frequency should lessen for a bit now if he's on the mend as it will take a while for digested food to go through normally, so for now these are all good signs.

Ideally, you should already be seeing a minimum of one poop a day - although the ideal would be something along the lines of - feed at 4pm, poop that particular meal somewhere between 24-48 hours later, so if you're feeding 4 meals a day, you should end up with at least 4 poops a day when all is back to normal.

As already mentioned, lots of small meals are best for such a youngster - too large a meal is the common cause of diarrhoea.

Once you've got your head around all of this and feel confident, I recommend you go back to the breeder and give him/her some feeding advice!

when i got my 8 year old lab(years ago when she was 9 weeks )she had an upset stomach..took her to the vets who recommended scrambled egg mixed with chicken and it worked wonders..i use it even now when she has an upset stomach.
