Name for a Yellow Lab

.Need name suggestions for my male yellow Labrador which will be getting around 4 Jan.

I like "Maxwell" but also on the short list is,
Borris,
Ned,
Monty,
Murphy,
Stanley

All suggestions welcome

My friend has a lab called Puddle, which i think is cute?
Something to do with his colour?

Yogi seems to suit a lab .

My very first dog was a yella called Flint !!

i like Maxwell although i had a hamster when i was younger named Monty

Is he dark yellow? my choice of name for a red/dark yellow coloured dog, Lab or otherwise, would be 'Vegas'.

My other favourite male names are; Dexter, Spock, Clint, Jackson, Bert, Remi, Bo (I have a female Bo but like this for males too -- the Obama's dog is a male 'Bo'!) and Cash.

If/when I get another male black coloured dog, his name will be Cash....the dog in black!

Out of your choices, for me Max, Monty and Murphy are too common. So many males dogs have those names and they are not very original.....no offense!

I LOVE Boris. My beautiful British Shorthair cat I had for 15 years was a 'Boris' so I adore this name.

I also really like Ned. It rolls of the tongue well and is the perfect length for a pup to grasp quickly.

Stanley is ok....personally I would knock the 'ley' off the end and just have Stan. Nice name.

I think Max / Maxwell is a great name too - my neighbours dog is called Max

The thing thats making me think I might not go with Maxwell is that I'm not keen on it becoming Max.
