Mace - 5 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Mace, Staffie, DOB 06 - North London

Homing Requirements: Mace needs a Staffie family who can enjoy his many gifts and manage him if disturbed around large dogs approaching him off lead. He needs his own garden not having had this before.

His Story: Mace was left as a 6 month old pup on his current owner. She has stood by him for the last 5 years but is now moving accommodation and can't take him with her. He is currently in North London. He is neutered, vax'd and has just been through a training course in preparation for rehoming.

Advert: Mace is a great Staffie who loves people and has been living in an adult household with people coming and going. Yes he displays initial excitement meeting visitors, in truth he is loved by all. He meets children well outside but has been living in a 3 x adult household. He meets dogs well outside but has never been off lead around dogs and can get flustered when bouncy larger dogs approach him. Small and medium dogs he seems to welcome contact will. Mace is house trained and manages well when being left for short periods.

Mace is a chilled dog! He relaxes in company and when left. He doesn't like to be closed in and left out if guests have arrived he is soon making their acquaintance. He has free range in his house without access to the upstairs but access to his sofas! Generally a chilled dog! He can dribble when he needs to travel in a car.

Intellectual Mace! He's trying to help write reports here but it turns out that kisses and cuddles don't get any work done!

Such a beautiful boy... would you consider a homing enquiry from Cheshire or am I too far away? Also, would Mace be happy in a home with another dog (greyhound) and a cat?

Of you were prepared to travel from Cheshire with your current dog to meet a perspective new dog then there is no problem, but in this instance the problem will be the cat as it's unlikely that Mace would be cat friendly, sorry.

The travelling wouldn't have been an issue, such a shame he's not likely to be cat friendly. I hope he finds a suitable home soon.

Excuse the bit of a rhyme, but dear Mace is currently in kennels & needs a foster place!

If you can offer Mace foster place or a forever home please get in touch.

Theresa walked Mace and by all accounts finds him pretty irrestible! I think if she could talk OH into another one then Mace would fit the bill! She just couldn't keep her hands off this gorgeous boy today! Have to agree its not surprising ...

If anyone is considering fostering then please consider Mace. He is not doing well in kennels. Mace is a very happy chap and as a result he is constantly wagging his tail. Sadly it is sore from hitting the kennel walls and his fur is patchy on his back legs. He is so desparate to please and be loved and a very gentle soul. He would really benefit from some TLC in a foster home and a chance to shine. Could you offer him a cushion until his forever home comes along?
