Meet the beautiful Style. She is a 4 year old ex-racing greyhound girl who is no longer good enough to compete on the track, so needs to find a loving home. Style lives up to her name with her beautiful amber eyes and quirky ears that can on occasion have a mind of their own!



~ Personality ~
Style is a real sweetheart and is just begging for a home to call her own. She is a little shy to begin with but when she gets to know you rest assured you will be completely smothered in kisses! Once she realises she can trust you, Style is a beautifully affectionate, loving lady who is very good at gently worming her way into your heart. We hope she won’t have to wait too long for her forever home.



~ In the Home ~
Style has not been in a home environment before, so new owners will need to be a bit patient during the first couple of weeks and allow her time to settle in and learn the home rules. It generally takes 10-14 days for new greyhounds to start to settle down in a home, and really all they need is a bit of time and patience.

~ Other Animals ~
Style is well behaved with the other greyhounds in the kennels and enjoys their company. She has not been tested with small dogs or cats but these can be carried out prior to adoption if required.



~ Out and About ~
Style walks very nicely on the lead and is happy to trot alongside you. Like most greyhounds, she will not need a huge amount of exercise. She will be content with two 30min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch her legs offlead in a secure area once or twice a week.



~ Greyhounds as Pets ~
In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.



~ Where Am I? ~
Style is currently being kennelled in Norfolk, UK. She can be homed anywhere in the UK, but please note that you will be required to travel to us in Norfolk to meet her.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Style is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. This girl would greatly benefit from being in a foster home, and Kerry Greyhounds UK is always in desperate need of new fosterers. It is such a rewarding experience, and costs are covered by the rescue.

~~ KERRY GREYHOUNDS UK ~~

Kerry Greyhounds UK is a small voluntary organisation that is based in Norfolk, England. It focuses on rehoming unwanted Irish greyhounds and lurchers, as huge numbers are bred in Ireland each year and homes are few and far between. KGUK operates through a network of volunteers spaced over Ireland and the UK. We can look after approximately 30 dogs at any one time in both kennels and foster homes.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated, & microchipped before being adopted (unless stated otherwise).
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in all corners of the UK.

~ In the Home ~
Style has just recently moved in to a foster home where she is experiencing living in a home for the very first time. She is still settling in, but is doing very well. It certainly didn’t take her very long to find a soft bed and stretch right out!



Style is sharing her foster home with two other greyhounds, and they are all getting on very well. She is currently learning the basics to home life, including housetraining, and is doing very well. We will be updating with how she’s getting on in the near future.



~ Other Animals ~
Style is very good with other dogs in general, and enjoys their company. She is learning a lot from the 2 other greyhounds currently in her foster home, and seems to get value from their presence. She has not been around very many small dogs yet, though now that she’s in foster care this is something that can be explored more.
