Those mad nutters on that harbour wall with waves crashing either side and they had a little dog with them. Madness!

Evening all - Moyra you are of course, quite right if the idiots want to drown then let them go ahead but the poor little dog didn't have a choice in the matter! Get your fire banked up June and have a nice cosy evening, you've had your share of the weather for the day. So have I, come to think of it. Got the jobs done at home this morning then have spent the afternoon getting stock down off the moor into people's walled meadows nearer home, with a view to minimising losses etc should the expected weather materialise. If it doesn't come then you just open the gates and they wander back off up to their own prefered spot. Not a community for socialising up here, but never a shortage of folk when there is work to do, everyone helps each other. Odd thing end of the day there are never any thank yous or self congratulation just a curt nod in passing, but it has more meaning than any amount of hand shaking and false smiles. Now though bathed and ready for dinner I feel almost (nearly almost anyway)human! Will pop in later for a wee dose of DAD, bye fer now.

Gordon Mac, I hope for your sake and that of the animals that the weather bomb does not materialize there for you. Such a worrying time when you have critters to care for.

It's been pretty cold and the wind was bitter here but I think so far we have been lucky compared with what you have had to endure up north.

Well it is getting cold here with the night storage heaters drained of heat so am going to call it a day and go to bed. Not worth putting the calor gas fire on. Night night everyone, God bless.

Oh Eileen - How could you! Hightailing it round the bright lights while your poor canine companion pined away, all alone, sitting faithfully waiting for her mistress to return. Shame on you! Bet you lock her out in the garden while you have Xmas dinner.
