Suns out now and the rain has stopped, son due soon, he's text to say around 45 minutes, so girls will just have to have a bone each and a tidy round, no time to get them out and back, and no idea what time I'll be back, getting dark so early that I suspect we won't get out today at all Glad Dillon's paw is better, thank goodness Lynn.

Lynn, sorry you are having so much trouble getting onto trading standards. Just picked up my antibiotics, not before time too. I am hacking away like a good un. Hope you manage to get it sorted with CAB.

Pleased to hear you have anitbiotics Moyra and hope that you will feel better soon. Yes worried about not hearing rom Nippyjen. Sorry the weather isn't good but better than soggy doggy's TW by keeping them in. The cavity wall man has been and gone. It took him 1.5 hours to do the survey. I asked why all the measurements and other things that he had to do and he said the government asked for them as they are footing the bill. Only downside is he noticed a crack in our outside wall which I hadn't seen before. So probably will mean getting in a man that can and repairing it. always something when you have a house. ttfn have a good afternoon everyone.

Hi everyone, both yesterday and today each time I settled to say hello I have been invaded by hoards of Christmas well wishers!

Firstly, not really so important, but can I say Sue it is my brother and not BiL that is in hosp! He seems to be improving today by the way.
Moyra I hope you get those antibiotics and that they soome start to work x
Brenda, I hope your cavities are filled satisfactorily!
Hi Tawney I'm here just busy!
Lynn, I would be pulling my hair out with all this trading standards rubbish. I feel sure that is not right.
We have done our annual Christmas run to Pepsi's "animal shelter" Took them Dog food, mixer, washing powder, blankets and sweeties for the kennel maids. I hope they all enjoy it. I thought the receptionist was going to take my hand off when she saw the blankets
Flipping cold I'm glad to be home in the warm.

Thank goodness Nippy, I was worried for you. There was snow in Yorkshire today and a severe weather warning for Thursday, so son tells me. It was snowing when he left this morning, never saw my text till he'd left early doors, but he'll drop the stuff over later on in the week..... mmmmm I'll expect him when I see him. Got the fire going because it has gone bitter out there, had the last of my lamb soup thing with a piece of granary baton, having a cup of tea then outside to put the heat lamps up for the girls and put extra bedding in, have done 2 clean ups already today, its all the rain, they're walking it in and out all the time. Brenda, I have noticed that animals, left to their own devices, will not normally choose to go out of a warm shelter into bad weather unless its for food or toilet needs, its us humans that have this idea they have to be walked in all weathers, not saying some don't enjoy it, but mine get no pleasure in being hauled out of the warmth where they are fast asleep. I get no pleasure out of it either, so unless I absolutely have to I don't. Never used to ride in extremes of weather either! Have dug out my bear paw boots, again never worn last year, one of my bargains from TKMaxx, sooo warm and comfy. Need to get my X large crate into the car as I'm lending it to someone who has taken 2 labradoodle youngsters in. Mum, Dad and 4 of their offspring, left in a house that had been abandoned, they are about 5 months she thinks, not house trained socialised or anything. I understand why she did it, but she is pretty unsteady on her feet and I'm concerned they'll knock her over, she must be in her 80's now. She said she couldn't NOT take them, I can see that, but it is a worry, they are totally undisciplined from what I know

I quite agree TW.I always remember one of my collies putting her nose out the door when it was snowing and more or less saying you have to be joking while her sister gambolled around in it. Nippyjen cavity walls won't be done till February. This was just the survey. Pleased to hear there is progress with your brother.

Right...off out into the cold and rain. Lamps ready to go up, couldn't get the safety guard on one of them after I put the bulbs in, but of fiddling but done it now, other one went straight on no problem. Dragged the crate to the front door, and left it there will put it in the car after I've finished cavorting around outside and getting coal in
