There are some lovely names out there, I have used Barney, Tyler, Leon to name a few, I also had a Bailey which would go lovely with a yellow labs colouring

I really like your idea of Boris - I also think its very apt (and tongue in cheek) for 2012

What about asking what his KC name is going to be/or is - you never know it might be something you like.

"Yeller" as in the movie, old Yeller?
Otherwise I like to name a dog with some connection to the breed or maybe the place where you bought him, or his character, etc, rather than using a "Butler" type name, Jarvis, Benson, Marley, Bailey, but it's fun choosing. I tried to involve our whole family, big mistake ... the naming arguments went on for weeks. Look for a connection that will always mean something. Good luck.
