Adopting - what might this dog be?

Hi - we have been looking at adopting for a bit now and came across this guy. All 11 of his siblings look different (2-3 each probably had the same dad). His mom is a yellow Lab/Pyrenees mix. Perhaps a lab/pyrenees/border collie mix? The snout is strange to me - very short and golden retriever like (well, like some of them). He is about 6 weeks in this pic, I believe.

What do you think? help us! Weird question and hard to tell, but he is pretty fuzzy and soft. Think he will have lab-like hair, shepherd or softer, fluffier coat?

I was going to say Border Collie as well - either way he's very cute

Mongrel is my bet, they are often the most healthy. pedigrees can have inherited problems due to too close a breeding

We think so, too. He is actually one of the calmer puppies we have met. We are trying hard to find the right fit and have been looking for a while!

Thanks for your response!

It's so hard to say. I've had two people say boxer and although I like them, I don't believe we want a boxer. I'm not sure where they are getting that from, though. I think just the markings.

Thanks for the responses!
