Walter needs a terrier aware family who always have his safety foremost in their minds. Walter needs a secure garden with 6' panel fencing or walls and secure footings to avoid him getting over or under garden boundaries. Walter would suit being an only dog but may settle with a female or a non terrier neutered male. Walter may settle with live in responsible older children and would welcome visiting young children providing their energy levels are controlled and respectful. Not for cats, feathers or small furries. NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk.

Known background: Walter is an ex-worker who thankfully had failed to prove himself and owner wanted rid to anyone or to the vets. Volunteer alerted us, and met us midway to allow Walter has come into safety. Now neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Godstone kennels.

About Walter: A Patterdale to his paw and nose tip! Walter grew up around people who expected their terriers to play to their instincts without the tender caring side of dog ownership, manifest. Walter was worked and has the torn bottom lip as his trophy. His recall wasn't reliable and was a disappointment he began changing hands and was given away 'got rid of'. Walter enjoys his walks and garden sojourns. Walter mixes well with other dogs, and now learning to relax and relate to his humans. And oh does he please!

Walter is a 3 year old classic Black Fell terrier/ Patterdale. We can't say pedigree as its a contradiction in terms with Fell terriers. Terrier have always been bred for performance and instructs not to show lines and can have other terrier breed types within their linage. Walter is easy to handled and doesn't have an edge.
